If you are attending an event at Arts House or have an appointment to meet us, you can enter via 521 Queensberry Street entrance (step access) or our accessible entrance at 80 Errol Street (next to the North Melbourne Post Office) or George Johnson Lane (between Post Office and Library) 1 hour prior to events.
Route 57 (high floor trams only) Stop 12, North Melbourne Town Hall.

Arts House is 2.5km from Flinders Street Station, approximately 35 minute walk and 850m from Queen Victoria Markets, approximately 11 minute walk
Arts House is 1.1km from North Melbourne Train Station, approximately 16 minute walk or 1.2km from Flagstaff Station, approximately 15 minute walk
There is limited paid on-street parking on Queensberry and Errol Streets. There are two accessible on-street car parking spaces on Queensberry Street (150m to our accessible Errol Street entrance) for holders of a Parking Permit for people with Disabilities.

How to Buy Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online or by phone bookings 10am – 4pm, Monday to Friday on 03 9322 3720. Please note there will be a $2.50 transaction fee for paid events.
Our Box Office desk at North Melbourne Town Hall is currently closed to the public outside of event times.
Box Office opens half an hour before performance start times, and theatre doors usually open fifteen minutes before show time.

You don’t need to print your ticket. We encourage you to take the green option by having your ticket on your phone, ready for scanning upon arrival. iPhone users can save tickets to their Apple Wallet for easy access.
Ushers will still have a door list of attendees on hand for those who are not able to show their ticket on their phone.
$20 for 2021
Art is for everyone, so for the rest of 2021 every ticket to every Arts House event will cost just $20.
The pandemic hasn’t been easy on anyone involved in the arts, so we’re trying to make sure that everyone can get out there (and in here) to see what happens next.
For every ticketed event, Arts House ensures discounted tickets are available for First Nations people. You can book BLAKTIX online when purchasing tickets to any event.
Selecting BLAKTIX may indicate Race or Ethnic Origin which is considered sensitive information (Privacy and Data Protection Act, 2014). This data is only used to provide a discount for First Nations attendees. Please read the Terms and Conditions on the payment page when booking your tickets on how we store and protect this data.
Companion Card & Accessibility

Arts House Disability Inclusion Advisory Group was formed in 2020 to ensure that everything we do at Arts House considers artists and audiences who are Deaf, disabled and or neurodiverse through a consultative process.
Members of the Advisory Group can maintain other intersections with the Arts House program enabling their input to be deep and multi-faceted across our work and for this collaboration to be meaningful.

We consult regularly with Arts Access Victoria – AAV on a range of our programs and artist opportunities. AAV is dedicated to an ambitious agenda of social and artistic transformation for people with disability, the communities in which they live and the arts sector in which they aspire to participate without barriers. Disability and Inclusion Access Plan
Our DIAP lays out a two-year commitment 2019-2021, taking positive actions to embed access and inclusion into everything that we do. This ongoing work seeks to challenge preconceived notions of what it means to produce art in an equitable arts environment, and to break down the barriers of entry for artists and audiences.
The DIAP was written in consultation and collaboration with Arts Access Victoria and Arts House’s Disability Inclusion Advisory Group. The implementation of this plan is a whole team approach.
We recognise that the experience of disability and accessibility is diverse and unique to individuals, and people still face barriers. We strive to remove as many of these barriers as possible, but understand we won’t always get it right. We welcome feedback to ensure our continued improvement and what we are doing well.

Arts House is a wheelchair accessible venue. If you are attending an event or have an appointment to meet us at the venue, you can enter via our street free entrance at 80 Errol Street (next to the North Melbourne Post Office) during business and event hours or George Johnson Lane (between Post Office and Library) 1 hour prior to events.
There are wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral toilets on each floor and you can access all levels via a lift. There is step-free access between studios, bathrooms and kitchenettes.
Guide dogs and assistance animals are welcome.

Auslan Interpreting – an interpreter stands to one side of the stage or speaker and live translates the text and dialogue into Auslan.
Wheelchair Accessible – physical accessibility varies from event to event, and if a show includes the symbol, this indicates the performance is fully wheelchair accessible. If there is no wheelchair symbol, access may be partial – get in touch if you’d like more info.
Closed Captioning – for these events, captions are displayed on a screen enabling the audience to read what is being said. Closed Captioning can be activated or deactivated by the viewer.
Open Captioning – for these events, Open Captioning is always in view and cannot be turned off.
Audio description – Audio describers provide live verbal descriptions of actions, costumes, scenery and other visual elements of talks, events and performance between gaps in the dialogue via personal headsets.
Tactile Tours – this allows patrons who are blind or have low vision and their companions to explore the set, props and costumes prior to the performance.
Relaxed Performances – for anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment – this can include but is not limited to people with autism, sensory sensitivities, learning disabilities, dementia as well as those living with anxiety or who have experienced trauma.
