The health and safety of our community is a top priority for Arts House and City of Melbourne.

COVID-safe measures

Please note: If you have a cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath or flu-like symptoms, you must not attend our venue or programs in person. 

We will provide a refund if you need to cancel your attendance due to illness. Please contact us by 9am on the day of the event.

To minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission, we advise all patrons, artists and staff to:

  • Practise physical distancing where possible
  • Practise good hygiene by washing and or sanitising your hands often
  • Wear a mask as directed by Victorian Government guidelines

Throughout the venue you will find:

  • hand sanitiser stations available
  • masks available (ask one of our staff for assistance)​
  • increased signage to direct patron movement and avoid crowd congestion

We also ensure that spaces are well-ventilated.

 
 

CASHLESS VENUE

We encourage you to book tickets via our website. Tickets are also available to purchase over the phone and in our venue via contactless payment. All tickets are issued by email and will be scanned on entry.

We offer a selection of snacks and beverages to purchase from the bar. The bar opens one hour before show time and all sales are via contactless payment.

We accept EFTPOS, Visa and Mastercard payments.
 
 

CLEANING

Arts House buildings are cleaned nightly Monday-Friday and on weekends where an event takes place.

FACEMASKS

Recommendations on when to wear a face mask can be found on the Better Health Channel website.

FOYER SPACES

Unless otherwise specified, we open the building one hour before show time. Please practice physical distancing in the foyer spaces where possible.

HYGIENE STATIONS

We provide handwashing and hygiene stations in each amenities area, each studio, and office. Each station includes:

  • hand sanitizer
  • disinfectant wipes
  • rubbish bin

SEATING CAPACITY

As per the current Victorian Department of Health guidelines, there are no restrictions on seating capacity.

Seating at Arts House is unallocated and is not physically distanced. 

VACCINATION STATUS

In accordance with Victorian Department of Health guidelines, we do not require visitors to check in or provide proof of vaccination status.

Arts House team members are vaccinated.

WATER STATIONS

Watercoolers and disposable BioCups are stationed throughout Arts House and available for visitors to use.
