Look Out Between, the Arts House program for August to November 2009, seeks to deliberately interrupt the relationship between audiences and performances. We want to explore the sometimes gritty edges of theatricality and the spaces between artists, art works and audiences.

Look Out Between presents artists from near and far, in unexpected and risky performances that continually push boundaries, making the inconceivable seem likely and the universal somehow intimate and personal.

Our season kicks off in August with a mini contemporary performance festival of sorts, featuring six productions. We are thrilled to welcome international companies, Forced Entertainment and Ontroerend Goed, who will perform alongside some of Australia’s most engaging contemporary theatre practitioners.

The Look Out Between $100 pass allows you to see all six shows in August. See the adjacent page for information and to learn about how you can attend some performances for FREE.

Beyond August, we are pleased to continue our relationship with the Melbourne International Arts Festival and particularly proud to be housing the prestigious and world renowned Leonardo’s Last Supper by Peter Greenaway.

As always, we thank you for your support and for engaging with challenging contemporary arts practices and provocative ideas.
