Meet our new Creative Producer

Louana Sainsbury

Louana Sainsbury is a Burramattagal Darug woman who grew up on Darkinjung lands and is now living and working on the lands of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri peoples.

A multi-disciplinary producer and curator, her experience spans theatre & performance, contemporary art, moving image and storytelling in experimental mediums. She collaborates with artists and communities to elevate their stories, develop creative practice and produce innovative new works, with a particular focus on First Nations voices.

Louana has worked with an extensive network of Australian artists & arts organizations. Most recently she has been working as a Curator at ACMI, developing First Peoples content and stories for the new permanent exhibition. Previously, she has held roles at Arts Centre Melbourne, Sydney Festival, Performing Lines, Think+DO Tank Foundation, Urban Theatre Projects, Belvoir and Bangarra Dance Theatre.

In her spare time, Louana gets her kicks learning about anatomy, physiology, cellular and molecular biology. She is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Health and Medical Sciences.
