A characteristically psychedelic take on the Hip Hop genre. Verse is a visually arresting production which takes Hip Hop to its outer limits fusing contemporary dance with Robert Hylton’s unique vision.
Collaborator/DJ/producer Billy Biznizz sets the pace for Verse, laying down Hip Hop beats, hard rock guitar riffs and vocal harmonies, creating and mixing a live compositional soundtrack with turntables.
Surfing the edge of abstraction, both performers seek to reinvent their separate forms, of music and movement – whilst pushing boundaries and defining possibilities of Hip Hop based culture in this bold and visionary work.
