roya the destroya (host) is a strong believer that every day is an adventure. As an internationally recognised multidisciplinary performance artist, she creates playful disruptions that invite strangers into a soulful and joyful exchange. She has performed in events and festivals around the world from busking in the Middle East, aerial dancing off the exterior of Art Centre Melbourne, performing at the White House and being a lead dancer in the Paris 2024 Paralympics closing film. Roya was the recipient of the 2022 Australia Council National Arts and Disability Award for Established Artist and is driven by an ambition to be present where artists with disabilities are rarely represented, using her work to create space, shift perspectives and open doors for others.

Fayen d'Evie is an artist born in Malaysia, raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, and now living and working in Naarm Melbourne on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung lands. A lifetime of fluctuating vision has spurred Fayen’s creative research into blindness as a critical and imaginative position. Her projects are often collaborative, and resist distant spectatorship by inviting audiences into sensorial readings of artworks and texts. Fayen is the co-director of the Access Lab and Library (ALL) with Jon Tjhia. Working with artists and presenting organisations, ALL develops and distributes methods and tools for access beyond baseline compliance; access that aligns with individual and collective ethics and creative practices. Fayen is also the founder of independent imprint 3-ply, which approaches publishing as an experimental site for the creation, dispersal, and archiving of texts.

Oliver Ayres (he/him) is a critically acclaimed disabled trans actor, theatremaker and community leader. He is best known for original works I’m Ready To Talk Now and No Seasons. Oliver was the inaugural recipient of Theatre Network Australia’s ‘Change Maker’ award. His other awards include ‘Best Experimental Work’ and ‘Access and Inclusion Award’ with Melbourne Fringe. He was a 2025 finalist in the Transgender Victoria Awards for Creative Excellence.

Raina Peterson is a multi-award winning movement artist of Girmitiya Indo-Fijian and English heritage. Their work draws on the deep cultural practice of their classical Indian dance (Mohiniyattam and Kathakali) training and the experimental, subversive, queering which emerged from their performances in the queer party scene. Raina’s recent works include Drishti (2020), Narasimha (2022) and MOHINI (2023), and are currently working on The Death of Sita which will be presented at The Substation in 2027. They also work as an audio-describer for Vitae Veritas.

Renay Barker-Mulholland is a proudly disabled, Biripi / Dunghutti woman, who works towards anti-colonialism, abolition, disability and gender justice. A self-described Blak of All Trades, Renay is a visual artist, storyteller, writer, agitator and advocate.

Jessica Moody (she/her) is an independent creative based on Wadawurrung Country whose practice is driven by curiosity, beauty, and a commitment to care as a way to maximise artistic risk. Her work prioritises the Deaf gaze, and building more sustaining practices for deaf/hard of hearing creatives. She works across various roles including creative producer, director, playwright, facilitator, and consultant. Jessica is co-founder of Deafferent Theatre, a Deaf-led company behind award-winning productions. She was a recipient of Creative Australia's 2024–2025 Creative Leadership Program. Jessica is currently working on an original play supported by Geelong Arts Centre, and Arts House.
