Liquid Architecture’s 2012 program brings together artists who explore sound as the starting point for the active process of listening. Specially curated by Lawrence English and Philip Samartzis, Antarctic Convergence presents a range of Australian and international practitioners who have undertaken fieldwork in locations throughout Antarctica. Comprising live performance works presented in surround sound, an exhibition of spatial-temporal works and a program of documentaries, Antarctic Convergence includes artists Lawrence English and Werner Dafeldecker, Chris Watson, Douglas Quin, Philip Samartzis and Robin Fox.

Not art-form specific, but sense-specific, Liquid Architecture is an annual festival founded in 2000 to celebrate the diverse methods of sound making and sound theory. Listening is a vital activity, often overlooked in our visually-dominated environment. You are invited to engage YOUR sensitive ears and listen.
