521 Queensberry St,
Come and explore the historic North Melbourne Town Hall over the Open House Melbourne weekend.
Visitors are also invited to taste the fruits of their labour with a creative DIY survival skills workshop focused on food and disaster preparedness, with Artist in Residence Jen Rae.
Built in 1876, the Town Hall was designed by Architect George Raymond Johnson, in the Italianate with Second Empire elements style of Victorian architecture. Johnson also designed the Collingwood, Daylesford, Fitzroy, Kilmore, Maryborough and Northcote Town Halls.
Arts House values an imaginative, diverse, just and environmentally sustainable global society. Respectful and welcoming of all members of our community, we recognise the unique and continuing culture of Indigenous Australians, and respectfully acknowledge that our activities take place on the traditional lands of the Kulin Nation.
For 12 years, Arts House has made a home in the remarkable North Melbourne Town Hall. We invite you to come along to this free event.
Guided tours will take place each day at 10.15am, 10.45am, 11.15am, 11.45am, 12.15pm & 12.45am.
